Late-Breaking and Demonstration Abstracts at CHI 2025

If your research is advancing quickly, you may choose to submit a late-breaking abstract. This category is designed for high-impact research that could not be completed by the standard abstract submission deadline earlier this year.

If accepted, your LBW will be published in the CHI 2025 Conference Extended Abstracts. These will be fully citable. In addition, if your LBW is an oral presentation, you will be assigned a time and location to present your work to in-person attendees during the conference. Your poster will be placed in a specific poster stand, and a table will be provided for you to use for your laptop and other presentation equipment.

In a Spotlight on Late Breaking Clinical Research session, authors will receive exposure and recognition for major randomized controlled trials and registries. A limited number of these sessions will be offered during the conference.

A Demonstration is an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to showcase implementations of innovative ideas addressing the conference themes in a dedicated session at CHI 2025. Demonstrations can be prototypes that explore the future of eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), or commercially available products and services that address XAI theory and practice.
